This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how TestLogger Oy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our services, including our webshop and online tools such as TestLogger Manager. PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA PROSESSING

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

• To manage customer relations and deliver our products and services.

• To develop and improve our services.

• To send marketing communications, such as newsletters, event invitations, and bulletins, if you have given us your consent.

• To comply with legal obligations.

• For internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical, and survey purposes.

We may use anonymous data, which cannot be linked to any specific user, to train AI models. This helps us improve our services and develop new features. We do not use personal data for training AI models. The anonymous data used for AI training is fully anonymized and cannot be traced back to individual users.

PROCESSED PERSONAL DATA AND SOURCES OF THE DATA

All user-generated data, including but not limited to track runs, sessions, RC car setups, performance metrics, and comments, measured car data, is considered personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is subject to the protections outlined in this policy.

We collect personal data from you when you use our services. The types of personal data we collect include:

• From our online shop: Name, address, email, phone number, purchased products/services, customer service communication, submitted service data, permissions/prohibitions (including marketing consent), account number (for refunds).

• From TestLogger Manager: Name, country, city, email address, and user-generated content such as track runs, sessions, RC car setups, performance metrics, and comments.

We may also collect other information that you provide to us voluntarily, such as when you contact us with questions or feedback.

PROCESSORS OF PERSONAL DATA AND DATA PROTECTION

Personal data can only be accessed by those members of staff, who are entitled to process the data as part of their work. Access rights have been limited by personal usernames and passwords, and all our employees are bound by a non-disclosure agreement. Our partners that process the personal data of our customers on our behalf are for their part responsible for the processing and appropriate protection of said personal data.

DISCLOSURE AND TRANSFER OF DATA

We may disclose your personal data to third parties in the following circumstances:

• To service providers who help us operate our business, such as online store operators and payment processors.

• To authorities when required by law.

• With your consent, for example, when you choose to share certain user-generated content through TestLogger Manager.

When you use TestLogger Manager, you may choose to share certain user-generated content, such as track runs, sessions, RC car setups, performance metrics, and comments, with other users. When you share data, your username may be visible to other users, but we do not share your personal contact information (such as email address) without your explicit consent.

We generally do not transfer your personal data outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA). If a transfer becomes necessary, we will ensure that it complies with applicable data protection laws, such as by using Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards.

STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is stored for a period required by the customer relationship. The data will not be stored longer than is necessary to fulfil the processing purpose or is required by the law or a contract. Data may be deleted as per the restrictions mentioned in the ‘Rights’ section.  

RIGHTS

Our customer has the following rights to their data under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to access their personal data
• Right to have the data rectified
• Right to object the processing of their personal data
• Right to restrict the processing of their personal data (e.g. ban on marketing)
• Right to withdraw their consent (e.g. withdraw the marketing consent)
• Right to make a complaint to the supervisory authority
• Right to erasure / right to be forgotten

Upon request, we will delete all data from our customer register, unless we have a specific legal basis for retaining the data. We as the controller have an obligation to e.g. keep the accounting material for the period (10 years) stated in the Finnish Accounting Act (Chapter 2, Section 10). COOKIES

Our website uses so called cookies to improve the user experience and to gather information about the use of the website. The cookies used on our website remain stored as long as they expire or are removed from the browser settings by the user. Please keep in mind that cookies may be necessary for the proper functionality of some services.

Services listed below collect information on visits without personal information.

Google Analytics

With this service we monitor e.g. the number of visitor to the website as well as from which website the visitors have come to the site and which pages of our website they visit. The data is not used to identify individual persons.

Facebook Pixel

This service allows us to target Facebook advertising to users that have visited our website and to monitor the results of the advertising.

Our website has links to other services and websites. Please check the data protection of these sites on the service providers own website
